I would like to thank all current and active veterans out there. Your service is much appreciated.
Ugh! It's a Monday Yall, I was up a O dark thirty getting my ME time with my walking routine. Made the 3+ mile was in the dark in just over and hour. I am getting my night eyes back again and now that the temps in Northern AZ are closer to the norm my MN body appreciates I have come out of Summer hibernation mode.
Got home to disaster of the day for my Mom, the 9+ year old home theater surround sound system finally shit the bed. I knew it was coming. I have babied that system and done all I could to extend the life but the bootleg power grid here is so hard on electronics no matter how good the system the power source inside finally went. Trying to find a shop to look at it to confirm my fears was futile on a holiday Monday. I was able to take it apart and show Mom what was the fubar part and why it no workie when she hit magic power button.
She was still not happy but not insane with panic over the event. Just one more small loss of control for her to adjust to now that she has finally fully retired and allowed me to support her. No we just clash on matters of money. Big pain in the ass but I promised my Dad on his deathbed I would take care of her, and almost 11 years later I still am doing that. For better or worse I continue to carry on with my task. Family its not just an ABC channel or political slogan.
Well time to organize my gear for another 48 hour shift at the ambo in the morning. Meh, pays the bills.
